Green Innovation Ventures Enterprises Ltd(GIVE Ltd) is among 13 other firms awarded  under  Kenya Off-grid Solar Access Project (KOSAP) facility, a flagship project of the Ministry of Energy, financed by the World Bank .  KOSAP is extending financing to the selected companies as part of the Government of Kenya’s efforts to achieve universal access to electricity by 2026 as per the Kenya National Electrification Strategy. About 1.3 million people in 14 counties will be linked to solar energy under a Sh390 million World Bank facility that targets to light up areas not on the national grid. GIVE Ltd  operations will be focused  in 4 counties of the Coast region of Kenya. 

This project, which is modelled to support private sector players to establish viable businesses in the underserved Counties, is an optimal option and a key plank in meeting our electrification goals throughout Kenya, so that no one is left behind,” Energy Principal Secretary Gordon Kihalangwa said.

Green Innovation has today signed an MOU with SNV- Netherlands Development Organization to  support Marketing activities related to Productive Use leveraging Solar Energy(PULSE) in Kakuma, Kalobeyei and surrounding host communities.
The MOU is complementary to the activities that we are already carrying out in Turkana County. The partnership will help to accelerate our sales engagement by reaching a wider audience, strengthening our brand, and creating awareness about our products and services.

In March 2021 Green Innovation Ventures Enterprises Ltd was honored to be among the 20 companies   in Africa that were selected to join the Investment Readiness Program by Seedstars and Shell Foundation. Additionally, each of the startups was carefully paired with a mentor that they met with regularly 1on1 for three months to work on the biggest issues providing barriers to each startups’ growth.The result of these activities were 20 African startups prepared and ready to receive investment.
